FireFly 2008

Ticket designed by Mike's amazing sister - Bridgit Cayer

Firefly 2008 was a success! We weren't sure if it was even going to happen this year as we lost the original land we had had it on in previous years, but thanks to the optimism, commitment, dedication, and hard work of the fantastic Firefly community - it was on. No rain and creative, hardworking, fun-loving fireflies made for one of the best ones yet in my opinion. Many key players/close friends were absentee for various reasons, but the event sustained and flourished, which is a true testament to the strength and importance of each individual that makes up the community at large. As a regional burn for the larger Burning Man festival in the Black Rock Desert of Nevada, Firefly is nestled in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont, and provides a lushness and magical forest fantasy experience that, ecologically, creates a stark contrast to that of of the dry, open, vast desert.

Neat hoop lights - nice 'bug burn'.
Glad the weather cooperated this year.
Will we read a 'blog' of the festival soon?

I love to see you both so happy. That's the whole point of life, right? Carry on! I enjoy seeing your travels as if I were there, too.
